DOZEN VERY SHORT POEMS

TWO HUMMINGBIRDS
© August 06, 2011 by Cupideros

One hot windless and sweltering
Day two Hummingbirds fanned

The microseconds away

All the Leaves applauded in tune
Their gratitude air-cooled fortunes.

TURNED SMILE
© August 06, 2011 by Cupideros

I turned my smile
On to by pass
The call girl, but

Her heart astounded
Mine as she smiled
Her weight in gold.

LIFE WAITS
© August 06, 2011 by Cupideros

Life waits patiently
For ego to grow up.

Then life lets ego
fly away.

THE OFFERINGS
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

Man lust for a woman
Through his eyes

Woman lust for man
Through her ear.

Each seeking  an offering
To satisfy their sexual sphere

TIME’S CORRIDOR
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

Souvenirs of the night before
Always pout, contain a tear

Of how things will never appear

The same, now that time’s corridor
Fleshed out their unknown frontiers.

POURED HER ROAR
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

In her youth, she explored.
In her development  downpour,
In her maturing gained a mentor,
In her quests beat the Minotaur,
In her soul crossed the other shore.
She was a Lioness who poured her roar.

HURL UNCURL WHIRL GIRL
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

There was an innocent little girl
Who did not know how to twirl.
Until she learned to hurl
Herself inward and then uncurl
Outward into the world--she whirled.

REGAIN OUR PLANE
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

Of what have we to gain
By the pursuit of only gain?
When the soul has to strain,
Because we neglect our reign;
Because we ignore the vane
Showing the way from our bane,
Showing how to drop our chains,
How to regain our great plane.

BEFORE HER WORTHINESS
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

When she walks about the Earth,
The sky trembles and shakes,
Thunder pounds molecules into quakes.
Bolts of light-fire slithers and snakes.
Clouds release their torrent -dark gates.
Human’s scurry before her worthiness.
Human’s quiver before her mightiness.

BEAUTY AND BRAWN
© August 07, 2011 by Cupideros

Beauty, brainy, lofty, lovely and brawn,
She commands the attention like an Amazon.
No one can resist her pretty tricky dawns.
For she decides all the fates and bakes
For us, our own happy, queasy story drawn.

THE LEFT HAND AND RIGHT HAND
© August 07. 2011 by Cupideros

The left hand of fate is the right hand of chance.
The left hand of destiny  is the right hand of change.
All of them need SRMG and SRFG’s  divine driven help’
All of them can be supported by your persistent Faith.
Should you be driven by fate, chance, change or destiny?

HABIT SHIELD
© August 8, 2011 by Cupideros

Once a day, twice a week, three times a month
Create a habit shield.
Month after month, year after year, mirth, mouth, myth
Temper the habit shield.
And then one day like the sun this habit shall rise
Every single day.
No thought, no conscious, no effort, no fear
In holding your habit shield.
Thought, conscious, faith, effort, ignore your fear
To lower your habit shield.

THE SELF-INTERESTED BELL
© August 09, 2011 by Cupideros

The bell that rings rings for me,
The bell that rings rings for us,
Is the sound brimming brilliantly.
Is the sound brimming bombastically.

If I see vibrations as pink
I can’t see vibrations as blue.
If I taste movements as grey
I  can’t see movements as true.

And the smell of the bell
You hear--
Isn’t the perfume I sell,
Can wear.

Or

And the smell of active steel
Isn’t the perfume I can steal.

All my senses won’t go farther
Than my interests in myself.

THE TINKERING GIRL
© August 09, 2011 by Cupideros

Once there lived a girl full of inspired doubt.
She spent time alone up in her tree hideout,
Brought old broken toys, things which made no noise
High-up into her fun hangout.

There she concentrated, experimented her curiosity;
Unscrewing bolts, screws, lifting covers to truly see
What made these old machines spin, tick-tock,
Investigating TVs and phones, radios and DVDs.

Through her mental and physical collaboration,
She tinkered for the connection and creative acceleration
That made the old toy machines move alive
And provide practical applications for her tech generation.
