MOMS AND DADS

Moms and Dads

Verse 1:
Clarity seeking,
Success now peaking,
I’m trying to do the greater good.

Build 1:
I’m thanking Mother.
I’m thanking Father.
For surviving, thriving in boyhood.

Chorus:
My older brother and sister did their best.
But Father, Mother in Heaven did the rest.
Some people claim I can’t say I’m blessed.
But I know moms and dads are not our parents.

Verse 2:
I’m doing things with ease.
I’m riding a power breeze.
Life is a game of grace, alertness and grit.

Build 2:
All the elements, earth
Water, Fire, Air help birth
Beginnings, progresses, turning-points, peaks and ends.

Chorus:
My older brother and sister did their best.
But Father, Mother in Heaven did the rest.
Some people claim I can’t say I’m blessed.
But I know moms and dads are not our parents.

Verse 3:
I work on being self-aware.
And on being other-aware.
I listen to the still void voice of home.

Build 3:
I know moms and dads tried.
I know moms and dads misguide.
I focus on learning to hold on, hold on.

Chorus:
My older brother and sister did their best.
But Father, Mother in Heaven did the rest.
Some people claim I can’t say I’m blessed.
But I know moms and dads are not our parents.

Tag:
I say, “Gratitude to those known, unknown and myself.”
I say older brother dads and sister moms help yourself.
Strive for clarity, endurance, gratitude and confidence.

Thanks for reading this song.
